On Monday we were practicing our play in full costume and we showed the infants what we had done to improve our play, (we hoped they had liked it).
On Tuesday we did our play at 1:30pm for the mums and dads, it was very scary! Especially when it was peoples turn to talk because every body looks at you.
On Tuesday night we did the next performance and loads more mums and dads came to watch and that was even more scary!
On Friday Emma and Hannah left the school and we wish them lots of luck at their new school!!!

This week the juniors have been practising their production it looks great.The whole school did sports day on wednesday night after school and the yellow yoghurts won.On friday morning the juniors did assembly based on respect and teamwork.
Vitorian Week

Last week was victorian week. we had a victorian day where all the teachers and children dressed up as victorians. The teachers where very stricked that was on the monday.
on Thusday we went to a musiem called beamish. It was in durram and every one had a fab time we looked at looads of different victorian houses, schools and we also got some sweets and had a ride on the tram.
On Wednesday and Thursday we practiced the play that we are putting on in church next thusday. we hope you can come allong to that.
On Friday we had a victorian fayre all the juniors made stalls for people to play on. The Inphants put on a puppet show aswell. At the end we all did some dancing. from leanne and olivia.

hi every one this week we have been
reading a book called street child. Today we just finished the book.
Last week we went to workhouse it was really fun we got to make and do lots of exiting stuff.
very sad news our teacher miss dargue.
and we are now practacing are play based on street child wright back on monday
East Barnby Day 5 HOME AT LAST!

We’ve had a great week but are pleased to be home. Thanks to everyone who posted comments this week; it was lovely to hear from friends and families. Thanks also to Mr Cooke for his week away from home and to the staff at East Barnby for their great skill, knowledge and enthusiasm.
Final thanks to the children of Baldersby St James for giving their all. It wasn’t always easy but with determination and the support of friends they achieved things they wouldn’t have dreamt of at the beginning of the week.
That’s it for East Barnby 2011. We’ll do it all again in 2013 with the next set of Y5/6s. Can’t wait!

Here some photos of the Baldersby bunch having fun on the River Esk on Wednesday and getting worn out on Thursday’s seashore walk around Staithes and Port Mulgrave. We are all having a fabulous time, and finding out loads, but are looking forward to getting home for a rest, some peace and a wash tomorrow.
